Roby Dwi Antono (born 1990) is an Indonesian contemporary artist known for his work in the Asian Modern & Contemporary art scene. Drawing inspiration from Pop Surrealist founder Mark Ryden and the iconic Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, Antono's paintings blend the aesthetics of Surrealism with Classical Renaissance imagery, resulting in a unique and contemporary fusion. His artworks often feature starry-eyed children, mythological creatures, and pop culture icons like Jerry Lorenzo, Tyler, the Creator, and Takashi Murakami. Beyond the visual appeal, Antono infuses his paintings with personal messages, incorporating a set of idioms that hold deep and individual meanings for the artist.
